LIHEAP (Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program)
Utility Discount Rates
Eversource and National Grid offer discounted energy rates to MA customers.

Eligibility: If you are eligible for LIHEAP or receiving benefits under a means-tested program (e.g. SNAP or Medicaid), see Eversource or National Grid websites for all programs.
Salvation Army's Good Neighbor Fund
The Massachusetts Good Neighbor Energy Fund is available to any MA resident who, due to temporary financial difficulty, cannot meet a month’s energy expense and is not eligible for state or federal energy assistance.

Eligibility: Income must be between 60 and 80 percent of the state’s median income levels (see table).

Residential Assistance to Families in Transition (RAFT) provides short-term emergency funding to help you with eviction, foreclosure, loss of utilities, and other housing emergencies.

Eligibility: You’re at risk of homelessness, losing your housing, or your income is less than 50% of your city/town's Area Median Income (check here).
